There are two versions of ProLog Cycling 2012 - Standard and Deluxe.  Both are very powerful cycling logs.  The Deluxe version has more flexibility and uses Microsoft Excel macros to simplify data entry.  Not all versions of Excel will accept macros (see note below).  The Deluxe version allows the user to add multiple rides per day while the Standard version does not.  With the Deluxe version you can track unlimited pieces of equipment on your bicycles.  The Standard version only allows a limited number to be tracked.  The Standard version is missing many of the customizable fields that many users like to use to track any items they would like.  One of the key features that the Deluxe version has is the automation.  Entering rides into logs is done quickly via a form.  Users enter ride data on to the spreadsheet directly with the Standard version.

The Deluxe version allows users to import their older ProLog Cycling Preferences and Data.  If you have used ProLog Cycling in the past then this feature will be key.  Users of the Deluxe version will be able to upgrade their log to new versions throughout the year - Standard users do not have this option.

Both ProLog Cycling Standard and ProLog Cycling Deluxe are very powerful logs.  If you are looking for a more simple log then the Standard version may be best for you.  If you are a previous users of ProLog Cycling  or like more advanced features with more automation then the Deluxe version is probably your best choice.
